Laboratório de Ergodesign e Usabilidade de Interfaces
“What is the result of joining” Design and Ergonomics”? If an application of the ergonomic principles to the design process is implemented, the result should be an attractive and also friendly product. Machinery, equipment, workstations and work environments that integrate ergonomics to Design contribute to the quality of life, improve the well-being and performance of products.
Yap et al. (1997), ergodesign is a new concept. It means the fusion of theoretical and practical focus of two disciplines: Ergonomics and Design. As systems become more complex, more difficult it becomes to establish the differences between the two disciplines. Unlike most known approaches – the human-technology interface technology, human-environment interface technology, human-computer interface technology and macroergonomics – seeking to ensure s good ergonomic compatibility of system components and the overall system goals, ergodesign guarantees optimizing the development of technologies and ergonomic design in the creative process.
The ergodesign approach is a macroergonômica creative approach that aims human attributes and the system simultaneously with the conceptualization and development of
